DeAudra Dix is playing football in the U.S. again.

The Johnson C. Smith graduate signed with the Arena League’s Tampa Bay Storm last month after three seasons with the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes, where he won a pair of Gray Cup championships.

Dix, a cornerback, played in 45 games with the Alouettes from 2009-11, where he recorded 83 tackles, three interceptions and 15 pass breakups. Dix also recovered six fumbles and returned a pair for touchdowns.

A Division II all-America at JCSU in 2007, Dix was first-team all-CIAA at cornerback and kick returner in 2006 and ’07 and was the league’s special teams player of the year as a senior.

Tampa Bay leads the AFL in titles won with seven in the league’s 25 seasons.
