Bonitta Best, The Triangle Tribune's managing editor and Sports Editor, was named the CIAA 2010 Sportswriter of the year.

The award is given to the sportswriter, voted on by the CIAA's sports information directors, who provides excellent coverage of the league throughout the year.

Best has won the award three times in the last four years and has won the award four times overall.

Best has been with the Triangle Tribune since 1998 and has been in the managing role since 2004.
