Do you know the numbers most important to your health?
A men’s health symposium will be held Oct. 13 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3400 Beatties Ford Road from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The forum is free and open to men 21 and older and includes information on healthy lifestyle choices, screening tests and medical consultations. Screenings for prostate cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and HIV/AIDS are included. Workshops on nutrition and physical fitness will also be held.
Door prizes that include a flat-screen television and gift cards will also be given away at the symposium, which is sponsored by the Friendship Brotherhood Ministry and 100 Black Men of Greater Charlotte.

| I have attended this event in past years. The health program is first-rate. Thje doctors are knowledgeable and the format is smooth. Every phase of the health checkups are set up so that the lines move quickly and efficiently. The cost for the health services wouls be astronomical, but on this day, every procvedure is free and followup is available if one wants to do paid office visits, |
