Metro Blvd Media and Sound will be holding talent competitions in Charlotte during March and April to find the city’s most talented musicians and singers.
Winners will be considered for inclusion on a concept album titled “Overture No. 1,” which is the creation of producer and composer Marcus Brown.
Auditions are open to anyone 18 years old or more. There is a $35 non-refundable registration fee and all performers will have to perform individually in front of a panel of judges. Those choosing to audition can do so in only one category. So they multi-talented individuals must choose to either sing or play an instrument during their audition.
Metro Blvd is seeking one male lead vocalist and one female lead vocalist; three background vocalists; two keyboardists; two guitarists; one percussionist; three violinists; a cellist; contra bassist; trumpet player; French horn player; five dancers and brass and woodwind musicians.
Those interested in auditioning should visit www.Overture1.com to learn more and fill out the registration form. Audition contest slots are limited.
