It's Time to Get Pumped Up! Celebrate National Nutrition Month in March with a healthy and iron-rich diet when giving blood. You need good iron to donate blood, so be proactive with your iron intake. Drink plenty of water and stay nourished with iron-rich foods.

*Please note the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas' minimum weight requirement for blood donors is 120 pounds.
